Yes they can! I have 2 kittens, at the ages of 4 and 5 months. Both are very healthy. I wanted both of them to get used to other animals, especially dogs, so I began to introduce them to other animals right away. Every time my friend and her 2 dogs came over, Maggie seemed to have watery eyes and sneeze a lot. I thought it was exitement since she was so young and did not see the dogs every day. Then I went house sitting for a friend, who also has a dog I needed to take care of while they were gone. I took both cats with me. After a couple of days, Maggie again had wattery eyes that became increasingly inflamed as time went on. I took her to the vet who prescribed an antibiotic ointment. However, it did not seem to help much. Nevertheless, 2 days after I returned home, her eyes cleared up and she was fine again. She is allergic to dogs.
Not necessarily; some people are only allergic to cats or dogs and not both. Not necessarily; some people are only allergic to cats or dogs and not both.

Cats and Dogs
She has a dog and says she is allergic to cats.
No. Cats have fur with curtain bugs that keep up the moisture in their skins. Rabbits have textured oil as do dogs.
no because they are usually friends with cats .
So many pure-bred dogs (dogs that are interbred with mother-son, mother-brother, to keep the breed 'pure') are fragile and are owned by people today, it's quite possible that some dogs could be allergic to other dogs. Also, there are so many hair care, skin care, and insect repellents on the market as well, some of these weaker dogs could be allergic to many things, including people.
A huge percent, more people are allergic to cats than dogs.:( 15-20% of the population, it could be even more considering more people have cats.
