It depends a lot on the individual dog and where the bird is kept.
Keep in mind that golden retrievers were originally bred to hunt birds. That instinct is very difficult to compensate for, even with good training.
1. Never let your bird out of the cage with the dog in the same room.
2. Never leave the dog unattended in the same room where the bird cage is, even if the cage is closed and you think it's out of the dog's reach.
The same rules apply to any other pet that is a predator, such as other dog breeds, cats, ferrets and pet rats.
You cannot put them in the same cage or kennel together, but a golden retriever is can live with a guinea pig.
Always keep the guinea pig in the cage if your golden retriever is close by. Make sure your dog doesn't bark near the guinea pig (Golden retriever barks are pretty loud) Just make sure your dog gets along with your guinea pig by putting them together (Guinea pig in the cage). Let them sniff each other through the bars of the cage.
Of course! As long as the golden retriever has had all it's shots and is trained not to bite, the sheep will apprieciate it's company!
Hope that Helped!!
golden retrievers live in a house
golden retrievers are beautiful carm animals that get along with most other animals they should be fine.
golden retrievers can live up to 13 years old...
there are blonde goldies, brown and chocolate ones no matter what country they live in.
Golden Retrievers need to live in cold environments. To be most comfy. When they get to hot they will sleep on their backs with their legs wide open. Funniest thing you will ever see.
any where between 12-14 years
All living things need cells to live
It is all about preference. I prefer a Golden Retriever. There are good things and bad things about each one. If you are looking for more of a herding dog, then I recommend the Border Collie; however, I am sure that Golden Retrievers can be trained to herd. Golden Retrievers were originally bred to retrieve. Where the dog is going to live is also very important. Both of these breeds of dogs need lots of exercise. Golden Retrievers are also known to be great family pets. It just depends on so many things, but i hope you end up getting the right dog for you.
I have a half golden half lab and he has to stay outside. He's too big and wants to be too dirty to be inside. They aren't happy unless they are getting wet and dirty.OUTSIDE!
I heard somewhere Lovebirds live in the savanna
lovebirds are called lovebirds because they are a symbol of love.
Lovebirds live in small flocks and eat fruit, vegetables, grasses and seed. Black-winged Lovebirds also eat insects and figs, and the Black-collared Lovebirds have a special dietary requirement for native figs, making them problematic to keep in captivity.
