It's dangerous if you are using an inferior egg. If you stick to only fresh, cage free, naturally fed chicken eggs from a local source, you will not have any problem. You have a better chance of getting salmonella from not washing your hands after playing with your pet iguana.

Yeh well i does. it worked with me as i was 67KG when i started using milk shake with raw eggs (just the white part. without the yolk) i gained 4 KG in just 1 month. i use 2 bananas and 2 raw eggs the white only. I have used powder proteins but to my surprise it didn't help me much. the reason could be that my body was not reacting to the protein powder. secondly i have different views about using raw eggs in the milk shake. as many say that its better to use boiled eggs. of course you will not mix them with the milk shake but you can have them @ breakfast. My gym instructor told me that its completely ok to have raw eggs with milk shake. in fact he is the one to guide me to this. you will find many articles on the net that say ---- Avoid the S word: salmonella. Fresh eggs may contain the bacteria Salmonella enteritidis. Although S. enteritidis affects a very small number of eggs, it's still wise to refrain from eating raw or undercooked eggs. The salmonella tends to be found in the yolk of the egg, according to researchers. But it's possible for it to be in raw egg whites, so it's best to avoid both. Pick pasteurized. If you want to make a recipe that calls for raw beaten eggs or egg whites, fear not! You have a few options here. Egg substitutes are pasteurized, which means they're rapidly heated at a certain temperature for a certain amount of time to destroy any salmonella. Pasteurized whole eggs are also available at some supermarkets. ---where everyones view differs then mine. i would still recommend to use fresh eggs (which is hard to get) then the eggs which are regularly available in the stores fridges.
