AIDS doesn't show up right away and when you look at your new partner consider this .... they could have slept with several people and those people slept with others and it's a chain reaction. Be open and honest and both get tested by a doctor. What most people don't know (especially in Canada) is the fact when you go for a physical check-up every year and then to the lab for blood workup you are tested for AIDS whether you are sexually active or not. It's better to be safe than sorry. AIDS and HIV don't strike just gays, but all races and all of society as a whole. That's what makes sexual relationships in these modern times so much harder and worrisome.

If both are infected... well, then it probably doesn't matter much if you get a few additional germs.
