I suffer from an upper BPI due to a motorcycle accident in 2005. I had a nerve transfer surgery at UCLA in 2006. The surgery didn't not work, so I continued with physical therapy hoping to get as much use of my arm as possible. During that time I would search the internet for any news about stem cells being used for BPI, but found nothing. Last week I found an organization dedicated to searching the world for the best stem cell treatment centers depending on a persons medical needs http:/wwwzperiodzrepairstemcellszperiodzorg I didn't find any information regarding BPI, but I emailed them anyway hoping they could help. I talked to Don Margolis who is the founder of Repair Stem Cells, and he told me there where only two treatment centers in the world that has treated BPI with stem cells. One center is in Israel, which he said was the best and the other is in China. Don also told me this type of treatment for BPI wouldn't be available in the US for at least 10 years. I am still waiting for more information from Don about these two centers. Don said that I would have to send my medical records and MRIs to the doctors of these centers for their review and treatment diagnosis. My travel to one of these centers will depending on their diagnosis. I posted this answer to let others know there is hope. If you are interested in possible treatments for BPI than I would contact Don. Good luck to you!
