Yes. Protein is essential to the brain. One doesn't have to eat red meat, but fish, free-range chicken, eggs and seafoods are good for you as are legumes (any type of beans such as kidney beans, etc.) Free-range chickens and beef don't have the hormones in them that the regular meats do. I buy it and although a little more expensive it's well worth it.
