No, I don't believe there is a pressure switch. And nonetheless, it's most likely a weak pump. If it doesn't whine, and is just hard to turn the wheels, chances are it's a weak pump.

I have seen this case with an older 88 Buick and it was the PSPS Power Steering Pressure Switch. You can check to see if it has one of these or try looking at the power steering pump also and fluid.
