No they can not, that is if it is a regular five panel test. If you are getting a high grade medical toxicological screen test than they can detect how much, but it is highly unlikely for you to be tested like this.

∙ 14y agoThey usually don't care how much. The fact is if it shows up and you have used it without a legal Rx, they've got you anyway. Go to a doctor, complain of Back pain, say you've tried hydrocodone before and it seemed to work pretty well. Be specific about the location of the pain but not overly anxious about obtaining hydrocodone. Even ask for a small amount admitting you don't want to have to continue using it because you are aware it is addictive. Good luck. As long as you have a legal Rx, it can't be held against you.

∙ 12y agoNo. They usually just check for the metabolites. So if you took 1 or 10 it should only matter as far as detection time.
Actually it depends on why they are testing. A standard drug test for work is usually done as a yes/no.
If you are in a hospital for an overdose, accident, etc. then they do a more detailed test that will show the exact level of the drug in your blood/urine at that specific time. From that they can determine just how much you have taken.

∙ 14y agoThey can't tell exactly how many pills you are comsuming... but they will see toxicity levels. If you are taking way more than the prescribed amout your test levels will be high.
