Too much water can turn white pine needles brown. This is especially true in areas with poor drainage conditions and lots of rain.
Needles float on water because needles are less dense than water. This is partially because the water is so much larger of a substance than the needles.

I think a white egg is more possible to float. Because the processing of a brown egg has to much weight on it. Like the color and everything. You know man, i feel like a white egg would float more because its not processing and doesn't have as much color.
