Yes a pet slider turtle can begin to lay eggs at the age of four when she reaches maturity. If she does not have a place where she can bury her eggs she will old them inside of her until she can't anymore. She will then just drop them in the water in her tank.
The number of eggs an aquatic turtle can lay varies with each different species. The smaller freshwater turtles will lay between 1 and 5 clutches of around 10 eggs per breeding season. Larger sea turtles can lay 6 clutches of 150 eggs every 2 to 4 years.
when the seahorses are mating the female seahorse puts about 1500 eggs into the male seahorses pouch. The male seahorse carries the eggs for 4 to 45 days and then releases the seahorses into the water and leaves them.
A sea turtle can have over 100 eggs in once. But it is a little different with pet turtles. Pet turtles can have up to 5 or 8 eggs(Or maybe eggs up to 10). Box turtles can have 4, 3,or 2 eggs in once.
2 to 20 eggs and btw don't try to breed your turtles this may cause birth defects without a lamp heater so be careful and turtles are best outside not in cages. You shouln't let your turtle go though if it has lived in a cage for ost of its life. please take care of it and have fun with the baby turtles
They can mate once and lay fertile eggs up to four years from that one mating. This helps to compensate for their inability to attract a mate. Females can lay up to three clutches of from two to ten eggs, depending on the species. Eastern box turtles will typically lay one clutch of of 2 to 6 eggs (younger females will lay fewer, older females more). The eggs typically incubate for 75 to 85 days at 75% to 85% humidity. Box turtles exhibit TSD (Temperature-dependent Sexual Determination). Eggs incubated at 71 ° F (22 ° C) produce males. Eggs incubated at 79 ° F (26 ° C) produce a mixed ratio of males and females and eggs incubated at 88 ° F (31 ° C) produce females. If there is no male in the cage, they will lay eggs, but they will not be fertile.
they can lay 4 to 6 eggs
Plovers lay about 3 to 4 eggs!!
Turtles do no get pregnant but after breeding (internal fertilization) the fertilized eggs with develop shells. At this point the female is gravid (as opposed to pregnant) because she will lay her eggs once they are formed and the embryos will develop and hatch in a nest.
They la 4-6 eggs per nest.
That varies with different species of turtle, as well as with the health and living conditions of the turtle. For sliders, males need about 3 years for sexual maturity, females about 5 years. Floating turtles start to develop in 3-4 years. So in three to four years, make a nice dry area with a lot of grass for the eggs.
Generally they lay beitween 2 and 4 white eggs
