l5's are louder, alpine type r's are clearer. It all depends on what you want..... Loud, or clear.
The p1000-1 Rockford fosgate punch amp
go with the alpine 12 inch type r's. they are one of the best subs out there. im running two of them right now and i love them.
Personally, I have had both subs in pairs with sealed boxes. At first I thought the kickers were amazing but then i bought the type e's with the alpine mrp-m500. For the price the type e's are way more worth and and sound better with multiple music types.
Perfect as long as your running them at 2 ohms to get the full 1000 watts RMS output from the amp as each sub is rated at 500 w rms. I have the same amp with 2 10" alpine type r subs. Model SWR-1023d, 2010 model and they bump hard as hell!
well each type x subwoofer can handle 3000 watts max and 1000 rms (recomended) so about a 2000 watt amp should give u unbelievible bass, if u have 2 alpine type x 12's u need can handle 6000 watts and 2000 rms
alpine mrp-m850
I would suggest if possible listen to the 2 different subs then make decision
