Not really. There's a "semiauto" transmission for Beetles, but it's not very reliable, relies on parts you can't get anymore (like the control valve) and the only thing it automates is the clutch.
Volkswagen claims to have made a real automatic transmission for the Bus, but I've never met anyone who's ever seen one.
Basically, if you're going to drive one of these cars you've got to know how to shift.
