Torrential Tribute and Bottomless Trap Hole can only be used in response to a monster's summon. Attacking a monster does not summon it (note that if the monster is face down, this is a Flip and not a Flip Summon).
Synchro summoned is considered a special summon so Trap Hole won't have an effect on them. But try Bottomless Trap Hole or Torrential Tribute instead.
I am fairly sure you cannot activate "Defense Draw" after an opponent's Ancient Gear monster inflicts Battle Damage in order to reduce the damage to 0 and draw a card. Here's why:First of all, this scenario is referring to an effect most Ancient Gear monsters possess: If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate any Spell or Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step.In case you did not know, the Damage Step is the part of the Battle Step that consists of (1) the point right before damage is calculated between two monsters, (2) damage being dealt to a monster, (3) dealing any damage to the player's Life Points (LPs), and (4) if any monsters are destroyed, they are sent to the Graveyard."Defense Draw" must activate during that third portion of the Damage Step when you are going to lose LPs. Since this is still during the Damage Step and if you are being attacked by an Ancient Gear monster with the above effect, you cannot activate "Defense Draw".
It's not accurate to say you 'chain' to a summon. A chain is an order of 'activations' which then resolve in reverse order (the implication is that when a card is chained to another, the second card resolves first). The correct term is 'respond' which is what you do to something that has happened fully already. So when something is summoned, or a card is drawn at the start of the turn, or an attack is declared, cards like Bottomless Trap Hole, Drastic Drop-Off or Sakuretsu Armor respectively will start a chain in response. When the Turn Player normal summons a monster successfully, he retains Priority to activate an effect. He could therefore activate Icarus Attack at chain link 1 if he wanted, using the summoned monster as a tribute before the opponent can do anything. The opponent could legally chain Torrential Tribute to Icarus Attack, but the normal summoned monster is already gone.
A Fusion Summon is considered a special summon, so anything that can respond to a special summon (such as Bottomless Trap Hole) can be used against it.
Obsidian Dragon only negates S/T cards that 'target' one Dark monster on the field. Bottomless Trap Hole does not target, Obisidian Dragon cannot protect against it.
If a monster is set you cannot activate it. "Torrential Tribute" can only activate when any player performs a flip summon, normal summon, Ritual summon, Fusion summon or Special summon, but a set is different from a summon so you cannot activate "Torrential Tribute". The same applies to other cards that activate when a monster is summoned (like "Bottomless Trap Hole" and "Solemn Judgment").
Yes, you can activate Torrential Tribute whenever a monster is summoned. Here's a hint you can also activate on your turn to destroy your opponents monsters.
Synchro summoned is considered a special summon so Trap Hole won't have an effect on them. But try Bottomless Trap Hole or Torrential Tribute instead.
Normal summon, no. Special summon, yes.The reason is, when Obelisk is normal summoned, no spells, traps or monster effects can be activated. That means it prevents anything being activated in the 'summon response' window, which is where you'd normally use cards like Trap Hole, Bottomless Trap Hole, Torrential Tribute, etc.
Go to your emails look for fight your monster and click on the activate acount just the same as you activate moshi monsters.
<original> sorry but the answer is no, this happened to me a while back at a tournament, they said while attacking a face-down defense monster flips the monster it dosent count as a flip summons. hope this helps <new> torrential tribute requires a monster to be summoned, which would be manually put on the field through your normal summon. or card effect like monster reborn. a monster gets 'flipped face up' when attacked which is different from a summon.
No. No part of Bottomless Trap Hole negates effects. However a monster's continuous effect requires it to remain face-up on the field. In those cases, the monster effect will cease to apply as the monster is gone.
When a monster attacks a defense position monster with DEF equal to to the attacking monster's ATK, no damage is inflicted to either player's Life Points and no monsters are destroyed in battle. Some monsters have effects that activate before or after they battle, so you must take those into account as well.
ayivate your fight my monster
how do you activate a moshi monster i know how but it keeps having no emails so i dont know how anymore!
Destroying a monster does not flip it. But if a monster is flipped face-up when attacked, and considered destroyed by battle, then the flip effect will still activate.
