It depends on what kind of alfredo sauce you will prepare. If you are preparing Homemade Shrimp and Spinach Alfredo, the ingredients would be:a pound of uncooked but peeled shrimp, ½ bag fresh spinach, a red bell pepper, a small package of sliced fresh mushrooms, a package of Knorrs Alfredo Sauce, two bunches scallions and two tablespoons minced garlic.Start by sauting the mushrooms, scallions, garlic and peppers in a pan for 10 minutes. Add the shrimp and spinach and then cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Pour three cups of water in another saucepan and then add the sauce. Stir and boil. Add the sauce to the shrimp mixture. Stir and cook for five minutes. Serve and enjoy.
Ragus are meat-based sauces traditionally served with pasta. In general, the best ragu sauces will have fresh meat (beef and pork being the most common) and ripe tomatos, and lots of spices and seasonings to add flavor to the dish.
Eh. It's all the same, realistically. Hunts, I suppose? The flavor is going to come from what you add to it and how well you simmer. I'd really recommend making your own tomato puree and working from there.
Alfredo sauce, invented by a New York chef, is butter, flour, garlic, cream(or milk), and parmesan cheese. It is served over pasta (usually fettucini) . Add another ingredient (broccoli, chicken...etc.) and you have the corresponding dish. That being said. I would surmise that for Oyster Alfredo you would add steamed or smoked oysters to Fettucini Alfredo. Sure you can. But you probably should tone down any additional salt, as old bay is basically just seasoned salt. Your Alfredo will obviously have a unique flavor but I bet it would be great with a little crab or shrimp added to it since old bay is great with shellfish!
Tomato paste is more concentrated than tomato sauce, so I would just add a little water until it is of sauce-like consistency. Alison Matsen from Delaware
Yes you can use flour, or better still, corn starch. In either case, make sure the sauce is at a gentle boil. Then mix the flour or corn starch with a small amount of COLD water and add it to the sauce while STIRRING CONSTANTLY. The sauce will thicken quite quickly, but will usually not be as deep red as it was originally.
You can do it either way, but if you add the pasta to the sauce and let it cook in the sauce for a minute or so, it absorbs more of the flavor of the sauce and tastes better.
Chop garlic, onions and mushrooms into fine pieces. Fry the garlic, onions and mushrooms in olive oil. Then add the grinded black peppers. Pour some water to make a paste. Add some oyster sauce. Stir till you obtain a good mixture. The add more water until is becomes slightly watery. Now add some sugar so that not the sauce is not too saltish due to the oyster sauce that was added earlier.
