Yeah, I'm anemic and I'm a vegetarian. I think it's just fine. I have ion defeciency anemia so i dont really get as much iron as i should but i take iron pills to make up for that.
No - I've been a vegetarian for 21 years and my blood is bloody brilliant (according to my tests at the Medical Centre).
I've got a cholestoral level of 3 - again that's really good - but I've got osteoporosis of the spine (found that out when my hubby hugged me and broke two ribs!!!). Apparently veggie peeps are less prone to osteoporosis than omnivores 'cos it's something to do with animal bits negating the benefits of calcium but I really don't know the ins & outs. Wiki it folks. I only know that at 62 years of age I haven't taken a day off sick from work this year and my 'omnivorian' (I just made that name up but I think it sounds good) younger work colleagues have taken tons. Worth considering????
Cheerio
