Anxiety disorders can be caused by organic problems, or as a reaction to environmental stress or trauma. While people can cause an anxiety disorder to develop in someone else (as in a child abuse situation) or aggravate it, it is ultimately the person who has the disorder's responsibility to address it in therapy if they are an adult. If you are in a relationship with this person and feel you are contributing to it or have a tendency to "push their buttons", you too may benefit from personal counseling or group or family counseling with that person. If you were key in developing that disorder in the person (for instance you were an alcoholic and beat your wife or children, but are now sober and want to make ammends), I recommend following some sort of 7-step program in which you apologize for your past actions so everyone gets closure and can move forward with healing. Now, if you are in a relationship with someone who has the disorder, and you had nothing to do with it but they are blaming you, you have a choice of either going to therapy together or leaving the relationship if this person is in denial and refuses to seek help. If you are beig abused by this person in any way, don't tolerate it because you are only enabling their behavior.
