Yes being married (or even declaring your significant other as living in the household) absolutely does effect medicaid coverage as you must report income from ALL individuals residing in the home. In effect your income would be higher making it more difficult to qualify for Medicaid. And I can tell you that the difference between 1 person and 2 people when it comes to income qualifications is not a very big margin. I have known couples who have disabled children actually divorce and maintain their relationships outside the home in order to qualify so their child can get proper healthcare as insurance for disabled children is nearly non existent.
