That would depend on how you feel towards one another now and the reason you broke up in the first place. If there were hard feelings it may be difficult to be friends but if it wasn't bad then there is always a chance of friendship - just don't push it or be overbearing. If you feel when you are around them it does not feel right just yet then don't do it.
