I assume that if the dogs have no other choice then they would mate and considering they are both dogs it would probably work. I think that they naturally choose not ot breed with each other. I think some cockapoos are bred with stardard poodls though, so maybe.
Yes. I don't know if there is a cut off point for the size difference but the biggest size difference in a cross I've ever heard of is a dalmatian - chihuahua cross, go to this site to see them: http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/c/chimation.htm (DISCLAIMER - I DO NOT OWN THIS WEBSITE OR ANY OF IT'S CONTENTS)
edit: the small dog has to be the male and the big dog has to lay down because if the big dog is the male it will not work because he will never reach.
You can, but not with a size difference like a German Shepard and a Pomeranian as it is risky and would likely cause injury.
Edit: The small dog must be male cause like if you're talking mating a Maltiese and a Dalmatian it would never work, if the big dog was the male he wouldn't reach. And if you want to help you would have to hold the small dog up if it was the female.
Another answer: To a reasonable extent, yes, (think Labs and beagles), but not to an extreme (like malamutes and Chihuahuas). However, the female has to be the larger breed. If she's the smaller breed, trying to carry the puppies could kill her.
yes it can i know this because my dog is cross bread of a chocolate lad and a mini dauschund
No, the small dog will die if she has large dogs. It is cruel to watch the mate die for the other dog and for the dieing dog. I wouln't do it. Please don't
Yes, but depending on how much of a size difference there is, it is very dangerous for the female to carry the puppies to term should she become pregnant from the mating. It is also possible for either dog to be injured during the mating itself.
Yes they can. My male dog is a husky and my female is a beagle annd they have mated before.
only if the big dog is the female it would be safe but its still not naturally and morally right in some peoples eyes
it actually depends on the dog some are small and some are big it just depends on the breed.
as long as the big dog doesn't bite the small dog's head off, yes.
It depends on the type of dog. There is no hard or fast rule for big or small dogs' barking. It just depends on the breed of dog.
Yes, the Chinese Crested dog is a very small breed of dog.
Depends on the breed really, if its a small breed yes. Medium probs the same size. A big breed definatley yes.
it depend on the dog small dog takes 1 year big dog takes 2 year some times u can breed big dog when they are 1 year
Do you mean the breed of dog originating in Central America?
depends on the dog breed you get
Small dog breeds are growing more popular these days. The Chihuahua is the smallest breed of dog known. They have big personalities, and often like to bark a lot. Their size makes it easy to carry around in purses or small bags.
Yes, there is a dog breed called Akbash Dog, and it is big and white. It is a working dog.
Idk but you can certainly ride your dog if the dog isn't a small breed
No. i dont think its possible, for example, for a chihuahua to mate with a golden retriever.
