I seem to live on airplanes, and fly about 8 times per month. In the US, travel security is handled by the TSA, and you can visit their website at the link below. Liquids, gels, and aerosols are limited to a max of 3 oz. each, and they must all fit in a one quart sized clear ziplock bag in order to be "carry-on" luggage. You may have larger containers in checked baggage. Disposable razors ARE permitted in carry on baggage- razor BLADES are not. Straight razors DEFINITELY are not! Most pharmacies (chemists for our neighbors from Britain) now carry travel sized cosmetic items.
