Virginia is known as an Acoholic Beverage Control State and only licensed ABC stores can sell liquor, none of which are open on Sunday. You can purchase beer or wine however from grocery and convenience stores until 12:00 am 7-days a week. Bars and restaurants can serve until 2pm.
Happy hour's are limited to two drinks max, ending at 9pm; a policy rarely adhered to.
Liquor stores are now open on Sundays in many locations, mostly urban/suburban. Beer/wine is available from 6 am to midnight, 7 days a week..

∙ 9y agoBeer is available on Sundays from 6 am (or whenever the store opens) until Midnight...the old "Blue Laws" are no more and to the best of my knowledge, there are no "dry counties" left in Virginia.
