The vent is behind the overflow cap where you close the drain. --Without a vent, the water would drain very slow.
if it's plastic pipe you can just buy a glue cap and glue it on. If it's galvanized or cast iron pipe you can use a gym cap, (arubber cap that comes with a hose clamp). Just put that on the pipe and tighten it down firmly. this will prevent any sewer gas from coming out of the drain.
yes
Looking up from under the car, the drain is located on the bottom right and corner of the radiator. A large flat blade screwdriver will be needed to turn the drain cap and allow fluid to be released. The drain cap can't be fully removed from the radiator so there is no worry that the cap will get lost.
open the drain at the bottom of the radiator and remove cap
Cut the end of the cap off, about 1/2 inch back from the end and then cut the side of the cap. You should be able to peel the cap off of the pipe. If you have enough pipe, just cut the entire cap off and start with a clean section.
take the radiator cap off and losen the drain cock on the bottom of the radiator
After opening the hood, look down the right side of the radiator. (the side with the radiator cap) The drain plug is at the bottom facing the rear of the vehicle. No need to remove it, only loosen.
in the engien
There is a threaded pipe coming out of the right side engine block. It extends out and has a hex pipe cap on the pipe. Just unscrew the cap and it will drain.
There'll be a drain plug... should be on the lower right hand corner. Take the radiator cap off, loosen the drain plug, and it'll drain.
