How osmotic pressure helps in translocation?

Translocation is caused due to the change in the osmotic pressure in the upper and lower part of a tree/plant.when there is a difference of water content in the upper part and the lower part then the water will move towards the upper region where endosmosis has taken place. this translocation takes place with the help of sieve tubes.

How do you change the driver's side upper door hinge on a 2001 Chevrolet S-10?

There are replacement hinges for that vehicle but it is quite a job. The original hinges are welded in to the door and pillar. The upper pillar side hinge requires removing the dash assembly. The replacement hinges I bought from the dealer came with instructions as to where to drill.

How do you change the door hinges from the origanal weld on type to the replacement bolt on type on a 1996 s10?

BIG JOB! The welds have to be drilled out to remove the original hinges. The door side hinge half can be installed thru the inside of the door by removing the door panel. The post side hinge halfs are very difficult. The entire dash assembly needs to be removed to gain access to the upper hinge half.

How do you replace upper door hinge on 1996 Chevy blazer?

This is the most difficult hinge to replace on that vehicle. The original hinge is welded in place. The replacement hinge bolts in. In order to gain access to the back side of the hinge that is welded to the cab the entire dash assembly needs to be removed. Many times the original hinge can be rebuilt in place with pin and bushing kits and a little welding and drilling of the holes if they are damaged/oblonged. You will need a special tool to r&r the door hinge spring. This tool is available from your local auto parts store for less than $20.

1999 suburban my driver door hinge pin bushings have different od between the the top and bottom hinge no part stores show this in there books?

There are two different sizes of bushings for each hinge. On the Top door hinge the bushing go on the body side. The smaller of the two goes on the top hinge with the shoulder of the bushing on the top side of the hinge. The Larger bushing goes on the bottom of the hinge with the shoulder of the bushing on the bottom of the hinge. On the lower hinge the bushing go on the door side of the the hinge. The larger of the bushings go on the upper side of the hinge and the smaller bushing goes on the lower side of the hinge. When you put the pins in, the pin will go from bottom to top on the upper hinge and from top to bottom on the lower hinge. The pins will need to be tapped into place with a hammer. Be careful to not break the shoulder of the bushing. There is a tool that makes reinstalling the door spring a snap. It will probably cost $40, but it will save your knuckles and a lot of time. There are a couple of companies that make repair kits for these. On is from Dorman and the other is from HELP! The kits come with a small bushing, a large bushing, a pin, and a pin retainer. The retainers will look different depending on the company. Some look just like a thin washer and other look like an E-clip. If you go to an automotive parts house and ask for bushing and pin kits for you specific outfit they should know what you are talking about.
