No. The speaker grill cannot be removed from the outside. You must remove the front door panel. It's fairly easy to remove except you need to know two tricks.

The plastic recessed cup behind the door handle and door lock is the trickiest to remove. To remove, pop open the plastic cover in the recess and remove the screw. There is a pin that goes through the handle and the door lock lever that extends slightly above and below the handle/lock assembly. It also goes through a slot on the top and one on the bottom of the cup. Push down on the cup directly below the pin in the handle/lock while also pulling the cup towards you. It should pop out but requires a lot of force. Be sure to hold the bottom from going back in and proceed to pull the top rear of the cup out the same way you did the bottom except push up. Once you have the top and bottom unfastened, swing the back of the cup out over the handles. At the same time pull it to the rear to unhook the front catch.

If you have the six speaker installation you will also have to remove the small plastic housing over the tweeter. Just pry it out to release the snap-in catches. The door panel is now ready to remove by removing several screws and a few snap-in fasteners.
