You Should Cut The Yellow Wire! : D
Passtime devices are generally GIS. However Passtime does provide (GPS) tracking solutions and asset protection to add. Prevent theft or using GPS to locate thief. The systems are high end and thorough.
No because speaker wire does not have enough insulation to be safe for power.
Just use some wire cutters or sharp scissors & cut (only until you feel wire)while you rotate around. Once you cut all the way around, pinch where you cut (carefully)with implement & pull off insulation. It takes a little practice,& occasionally you will go thru wire as well, but that's how it's done.
Find the passtime device , it's usually under the dash near the ignition switch. You can trace it by following the wire from the remote eye. There are 5 wires with a plug connector plugged into the device. Leave the red, pink and black wires alone. The blue wire comes from your ignition switch and goes to a relay switch inside the device. The purple wire comes from that switch to your starter. Leave them cut from the device, but solder, (or connect in some manner) them together so that the passtime device is bypassed. Th enyour starter will get power when you turn the key. That's all there is to it. the passtime device will still appear to be functioning. It will beep and take codes from the remote, but regardless of whether it is timed out or not your starter will still get power. ** I did not want to cut any wires on my Pass Time Elite so i simply put a jumper between the blue and purple wires coming out of the top of the connector on the pass time unit and achieved the same results **
You can not bypass the passtime. WARNING: if you have passtime and bypass it and the dealer finds out you did they can and most likely repo the car and not refund your money. you signed a contract for passtime when you bought the car.
find the wire and use a wire connector that is the same gauge as the wire.krimp the ends and you should restore power to your alarm.

First you turn off the power. Then you cut the wire. Strip each end of the cut wire and attach to each side of the switch. This should only be done within a switch enclosure. If there is no extra wire to make a good connection, you can extend the cut ends with wire of the same size as the cut wire and use wire nuts to securely connect the "pigtail" wires. You should only switch the hot side (Black wire in home wiring) and not the white wire which would pose a shock hazard.
you have a cut wire in the drivers side door wiring, they get opened & closed so much that wires get cut, open the black boot in the door jam & you'll find your cut wire.

what kind of power wire?(a power wire for an amp maybe) what kind of power wire?(a power wire for an amp maybe)
You cut carefully so that the wire does not touch the middle of the clay.
With a pair of wire snips.
If your are using a wire kit, you need to connect the blue and/or blue/white wire from the harness to the blue/white wire from your radio. Now if you have cut your wires you will have to locate the one wire that will turn on your factory amp.Good Luck!!!!
