Can you download Google Chrome over internet explorer?

It may someday, but it's highly unlikely. Interent Explorer is built into every copy of Windows, so it's always there no need to download anything. This way the average user cab just click on it and start Surfing the internet. Chrome will always be a download, unless Google comes out with an operating system of their own (there has been talk of it but nothing, yet), so the average Internet user won't be so fast to use it. Also, Chrome has Mozilla Firefox to pass before it can consider overtaking Internet Explorer as the most used browser.

Well, not really. They're both just Internet Browsers. They're 2 different Browsers.

Have you ever heard of Firefox? Apple Safari? Or even, Opera, let's say. They're all different browsers, with different innovative features in each one.

On the contrary, when you may first download Google Chrome (Trust me, after Firefox, it's the most safe browser, and fastest too), you are given the option to import your data from Internet Explorer. That means, whatever you've done on Internet Explorer CAN be put into Google Chrome. Some people prefer not too, but others just want the Previous-Data-Reflecting-Website-Address-Bar-Thing.

They come with separate Desktop Icon's too. One will be Internet Explorer, with that Blue "e" Thing, and the other should be Google Chrome, with another Icon.

Google Chrome is using your computer's system proxy settings to connect to the network. If you change proxy in Google Chrome, then the proxy for internet explorer will be changed too.
