You need a drill that can drill into the brick.
if they are original you will most likely have to pop the rivets off the bottom of the old ones...best if you use air hammer...may have to remove from car....other than that..should be pretty simple The rivets are best drilled out instead of hammering and chiseling. If you distort the lower control arm, the repair gets pretty expensive. Drill them out with the smallest drill bit possible the will remove the center of the rivit. You will be installing the new ball joints with nuts and bolts and you don't want the holes too big.
Measuring Tape, Wrench, Power/Hammer drill with wood drill/stone bits, Ladders(depending upon the height you need to install) are the tools you need to install a retractable awning.
Use a carbide bit in a drill. Then install plastic anchors where the screws go.
If its 2 wheel drive, you will need a press. Those ball joints are pressed into the upper and lower control arms. If it is 4 Wheel drive you need to remove the rivets with either an air chisel or to drill them out.
Crew driver and a drill.

No towers are made to be movable. Some fold down ones may have joints which allow the top part to be removed. You have to drill holes in the fiberglass to install any tower so they are usually going to be permanent.
To install a hand rail, you will need to buy a kit. You will also need screws and a screwdriver or an electric drill to install the hardware.
Just as you said....drill the centers out of them. If you are talking about the large rivets that hold ball joints in....that's another story. It's easier to use an air chisel or grinder on them and carefully grind the heads off without cutting up the control arm. Then punch them through. If you don't have an air grinder a GOOD metal chisel and big hammer will do it....probably faster than the drill.
