It's not recommended per the packaging because the medicine itself can make you drowsy.

For the record, to anyone looking this up...I drank with this stuff and got SUPER sick. I'm quite the drinker and I can certainly hold my booze. I WAS drinking fast for the night, so I was also drunk...but most of it was from the combination. I've drank enough in my life to know.

About 2 hours in I got the spins so bad I couldn't open my eyes. I went outside for some fresh air and spent the next hour or so throwing up behind a Bowling alley sleeping on the ground because I was too dizzy to move.

So, no. Don't drink with it. I'm not the only one this has happened to, I've looked around the internet and its a common reaction.

Yes, I was taking Xanax for awhile for anxiety after several panic attacks and my doctor prescribed Claritin for seasonal Allergies. The Xanax wasn't a particularly high dose, .25 mg ever 4-6 hours and the Claritin was the standard over the counter 24 hr relief, not the Claritin-D. I did not have any side effects taking these two medications together.
