You can but I wouldn't it's definitely not safe
It is easier to handle the tank with no gas as gas weighs about 7-1/2 pounds per gallon. Take the tank off and then the strap just connects to the frame and then remove the tank unit.
It depends on what kind of car it is on. It is easy on some and some you have to remove the differential.
The number of miles you can drive is not dependent on the shape or material of the gas tank. The size of the tank matters, the larger the tank the farther you can drive.
22 gallons. You can easily replace it with a 35 gallon gas tank but a third support strap is required with the larger tank. If you order a larger tank from a wrecking yard, be sure to tell them that you want the third strap too.
twist it. righty tighty, lefty loosey
The gage is broken or the wire is broken or the sensor in the tank is broken or the fuse is blown.
It's inside your gas tank. The gas tank is on the left side of the vehicle. There is a strap that goes around it and bolts to the frame and a strap that goes around it and bolts to a crossmember. If you get under there and look you can see the hoses coming from the top of the tank. That's the fuel pump.
Broken ring and you get compression blow by.
Remove the bolts on one end of the strap and the strap should pivot down from the hinged end. Use ample lubricant on both ends of the strap.
they charged me $68.00 for the part and $62.00 for labor =$130.00
its in the gas tank so you will have to drop gas tank
yes it will run with a broken vent, but the check engine light may come on because of tank pressure, and you may leak a bit of gas.
