Something has broken in the rear axle.Something has broken in the rear axle.
yes
It could be, along with broken wires, unplugged connections, failed switches,
Not a good idea. Play it safe and have it towed to the garage for repair.
if the switch lights up then check to see if the metal connectors and strips on the rear window are ok if they are then i would say the rear screen relay is broken.
If it is a rear wheel drive car you could have a bad U joint, bent drive shaft or a broken tooth or two on the ring and pinion gear. If it is a front wheel drive vehicle you may have a bent rear axle or bad bearing. If it is four wheel drive or all wheel drive you may have a bent drive shaft.
May have control issues
Failure to mantain inspection on vehicle. it falls into this one and can get a ticket
Nope, so long as you have tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, and reverse lights. Don't forget mud flaps behind your rear wheels. And you MAY have to have a bumper or "ICC bar" to protect from a rear end accident. ( it keeps a vehicle in a rear end accident from driving under your truck)
check the ground at rear of car sounds like broken or bad ground wire
The lights stay on because is showing where is the traction of the vehicle ,since the first montero that the way it is .
Check the wire which supplies energy for tail lights (the junction between the trunk and the car body). If it's broken it will cause the check engine come on.
