The real answer is definitely. Any non steriodal anti inflammatory drug such as Motrin can cause gastric upset if not taken with food or at least some milk. This drug attacks the wall of the unlined stomach and over a surprisingly short period of time may give rise to ulceration. Even enteric coated versions (designed to release in the bowel) should be treated with respect. Take with food at all times!!!
