You'll need to find out what's wrong with the ABS. You may need to take it to a brake shop or the dealer to read the diagnostic code from the ABS computer. If the light is on, the computer has a code for you to read.
on my '99 the code came back on the diag. for rear wheel speed sensor (the one in the rear diff)
The alternator may be at fault. If you continue to drive that vehicle with the battery light on, you will get stuck. Drive to your closest auto parts store, they can test your charging system for you at no cost.
How old do you have to be to make a facebook. And please DONT say 13!
I changed the batter its a new one, got a new alternator. when I drove it home last night it wasn't on. then I goe to the store the morning and the light came on and the handle went blow the batter symbal
I wonder if one of the ABS fuses is bad ?
It might have something to do with the alternator.......... or maybe there is a short in the wiring
yes it dose
If the ABS light is on , a malfunction has been detected . It could be a fuse , a sensor , or some other problem
Sounds like one of the door switches or wire running to them is shorted to ground, since the indicator and cab light are looking for a ground to come on. Some vehicles will not allow power door locks to work while doors are ajar.
You have a problem with the ABS system. Your brakes will still work properly but you will not have the extra safety of ABS. Have this checked out.
no , there is a problem
I'm not sure if they are the same or not, but I had the same problem with a 2000 Ford Ranger. The fix given on another web site for the Ranger is to spray the door latch (in the hole on the edge of the open door that mates with the latch device on the door jamb) with WD40. If the Expedition system is like the Ranger, the light switch is in door latch & WD40 will fix it for a few months, at least. Hope this works.
