For sure you can. I have gained 10 lbs plus while I have been off for the past 6 weeks.
When you first get it, your sleepy and tired and don't care to eat, but when that starts to burn off your usually nautious and sick still so I ate nothing but bread, pasta with butter, rice with butter and bagels. I am 40. At this age what you put on its hard to get off.
So yes its very possible to gain weight with mono. I have. I am hoping once I get back to work and get strong again, I will lose the weight.
But what I am being told is don't stress over it and go on a diet, you need all the nutrients your body can get. So just eat healthier once you feel all better.
And if you get sick to your stomach like I have the complete time, get.... Good Belly... its cold and has probiotics that helps your GI tract get back to normal. I was so sick with my stomach and this stuff did wonders.
Hope that helped!
