Assuming the 430 High Brake lamp cover is identical to the LS 400, it is as follows: The high brake lamp cover is attached by four clips; two in the back of the assembly and two in the front. The front ones need to be released by gently and carefully pulling the cover up; the back ones then act as a hinge to allow the rear of the cover to move up. Then by pulling the cover toward the front of the car, the entire assembly comes loose. Be advised that the clips are plastic, and they are mounted into the cardboard like rear deck. Therefore, being gentle is important to preserve them. I used two small screwdrivers, inserting them under the left and right sides of the cover, and carefully moving them to gently pry the front of the cover up. Once the cover is free, there are two bulb housings. Each require a 1/4 turn to open. The bulbs are 921 18W. Once you have replaced the bulbs, use the front clips to guide the cover back snug with the rear window, and pop down the front. It is also a good idea to test the bulb before you replace the cover. Just step on the brakes.

I have just changed the battery on my sons 96 breeze. Its easier if you remove the left front tire. In front of the wheel well, you will see a plastic cover held in place with several clips that can be removed by turning the clips 1/4 turn to left. pull the plastic cover off and you will see the battery. Use 1/2 in. socket to remove hold down, and 5/16 socket to remove cables. Total time Approx. 15 minutes.
