Yes, you might. There are some women that can conceive right away, within the week they were suppossed to get their next Depo shot or a few months after they have missed their shot. It depends on how quickly your body adjusts to the progesterone (which is the hormone in Depo that keeps a woman from ovulating). Some woman can adjust quite quickly, where others have a longer time.

∙ 13y agono. you have till a week after the shot was due. but doctors are supposed to test for pregnancy before EVERY shot, if they are not doing so request it, or the baby could have disformities(if you do get pregnant while on shot, because it is not totally impossible).

∙ 9y agoIt is possible to become pregnant any time that a penis is placed in a vagina. While your chances are much greater if a full ejaculation takes place in the vagina, there ARE some sperm that are present in the pre-ejaculate fluid- and it only takes ONE sperm finding it's way to the egg. Depo Provera becomes effective 7 days after the injection. Please note- it prevents pregnancy- it does NOT protect you from sexually transmitted disease.

If you find it hard to get back into the office for your next injection, consider changing to a method like the implant or the IUD that don't require you to make appointments in a timely manner.
