Yes you can, But you will have to replace the fuel pump. The 91 fuel pump pressure is
9 to 13 LBS. Required pressure for the vortec to make it run is 55 to 62 LBS. of pressure. The next thing you will have to change to make it run is the compleate wireing harness so you can use the 1996 powertrain control module ( PCM ). You will have to use all of the ignition parts that belong on the vortec engine. Every device that came on the vortec engine must be on it to make it run.
The next problem is the 700R4 Transmission that is in the truck now needs the 91 PCM computer to work. Remember you changed it to the 1996 PCM so the engine will run. In other words you will now need the 1996 Transmission. 4L60 or 4L80E trans.
Depending on if the 96 was a 1/2 ton are a 3/4 ton. That will make a difference in what transmission you will need so the 1996 computer- PCM will shift the Transmission correctly.
The GOVERMENT does not want us modifying anything anymore. And that is why you will need everything that it took to make the 96 engine run.
Good luck, I would like to know how it works out for you. NEUTZ.
That's what should be on it.
No it does not. Chevy did not use them in that year on there trucks.
It sure will.

Remove the inside door panel from your 1991 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck. Remove the wiring harness from the mirror. Remove the driver side mirror retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new driver side mirror.
How to remove and install the serpentine belt on 1991 Chevy Blazer with AC?
yes you can
no it does not it's fuel injected. It is most likely a TBI(4.3Liter )not Multiport (4.3 Liter Vortec)
If it is a Vortec it will be inside the tube running from the intake to the air filter it is a rubber hose with this stuck in it!
Vortec 4.3 should be 200 hp, however, it didn't come out until '94. Standard 4.3 is 160 hp.
80 or 85W90 gear oil.
Behind the passenger side kick panel.
