no, you only have one intake therefore you can only modify it one way. the short ram intake will most likely be a shorter edition of the cold air intake.

is it a short ram or full intake? both are pretty easy. For both u need to obviously remove the original intake. Now for short ram u need to take your intake pipe and attach it to your throttle body, and air sensor hoses to proper holes on the intake pipe. As for the full intake it should be the same thing except u have to take apart your wheel well... So take off tire, plastic lining, and then u can add the last piece of the intake and the filter, then reassemble the plastic lining and put the tire back on. Basic hand tools are the only thing needed for this job.

The crankshaft has nothing to do with a short are long block. A short block is everything but the heads and intake. A long block has the heads and intake all ready on it, Its the complete engine. You have to put the heads and intake on the short block yourself. That is the difference.

If: a) your pipe is the same diameter through the length of the pipe -and- b) the lower half of your pipe has a mounting bracket -or- c) you have no intention of returning it to being a cold air intake again ...you could just saw the bottom off your intake to a point where you can mount the filter. If there is a mounting bracket on the cut off portion, you could always use a rubber hose with 2 hose clamps to reconnect the 2 pieces back together again. Most cold airs are just longer version of the individual company's short ram intakes.

disconnect the intake tube from the intake box (located it the front passenger side corner under the hood). disconnect it from the intake manifold. unbolt the intake box, take it out, and slide your new intake pipe onto the manifold, and run it to the same place you had the box at. your cone (filter) should sit in the same place.

I have the same exact car and what I did is install an aftermarket exhaust with headers, also a short ram intake such as a secret weapon r intake. You could also try making it lighter I.E racing seats, take out spare tire. Also I use royal purple engine oil and definitely feel a difference.
