Yes. But, I never seen one mounted in the window? If you have a saw to cut the window or a hole in the tray below the window - have at it.
i had to get a plate to install 6.5 and/or 6.75 speakers. so the factory speakers are just around 7 inches. not sure why.
take off the door panels and unscrew the speaker from the door and unhook the wires and in reverse order install the new speaker(s).......

remove the speaker covers from fear deck. remove the four screws that hold the speakers in the rear deck. four screws hold each speaker in place. unplug the wires from the connecters. if aftermarket speakers cut after plug and splice new speaker wires into existing factory wires. reverse the procedure to install new speakers.

There is a difference between waterproof speakers and underwater speakers. Waterproof speakers can be left out in your garden for example and will not be damaged by rain or the elements. If you are wanting to install speakers in your pool, you will require underwater speakers. The depth of the speaker installation would depend on the speakers you purchase.
The easieast way and probably the safest to buy an adapter from 6x9 to 6x8. Also you can cut out a form from a acrylic sheet so you can fill out empty space between speaker and a deck and install speaker with 4 screws.
