No. Presuming you mean the fancy Betta splendens, these are highly territorial fish that will chase and harass each other until one dies. Other species of Betta, however, are more peaceful and can cohabit in large aquariums, these wild species are less likely to be found in the average pet shop though.
== == No, they will usually try to kill each other.
Absolutely not, regardless the size of your aquarium, whether it be one gallon or twenty gallons. The bettas will fight with each other continuously, tear each other's fins, injure each other, and the more aggressive and territorial one will not hesitate about killing the other male betta. They will flare up when they see each other and will continuously fight and try to kill each other. The only possible way you could keep two bettas together is by keeping them in an aquarium of at least fifty gallons, with a divider in the middle just in case. However, even with the divider, they will try to attack each other, so if you decide to go ahead and put them together (highly disencouraged!), then you will need an extremely sturdy and opaque divider, so they do not see each other. However, keeping two male bettas together under any circumstances is really not recommended.
Male and female betta fish should not be kept in a tank together unless the tank is large enough for a female to escape attack, there is a partition or they are breeding. Males will kill the females. They are very aggressive and are not schooling fish.
No, one will be dead in a matter of minutes regardless of what you do.
You could however put them in the same tank with a barrier between them. Perhaps some wire, glass, or perspex. If you do this, ensure both sides of the barrier receive equal water filtration.
Not for long. They will fight until one dies
No! They will fight and one will kill the other.
no, they will kill each other
no, they will fight to the death
No you cannot, only if you are breeding them and the female has eggs. Otherwise the male will eventually kill the female. 2 females can live together.
No the two male bettas will kill each other if they are put in the same tank.
Not male bettas, not ever. Females can live together, but you'd have to make sure to give them both enough space. A "bowl" usually won't give them enough space. Even still, they can and will sometimes get into fights.
NO!Placing two male bettas within one habitat is a guaranteed fight-to-the-death, no matter how big the tank.In an experiment conducted by a curious researcher, two male bettas were placed in a lake with plenty of room for both fish. Instead of separating, the two flared and began to fight vigorously. Call it male competition for the ladies, fight for survival, or flat out aggression, male bettas willfight!
I am assuming you mean Bettas. A male Betta needs to be kept away from all other Bettas. They can not be kept together. The male would kill at least one of the females. Then he would either breed with the living female and then kill her if she is not removed or he will try to spawn her and if she is not ready he will kill her anyway. This is how the Bettas evolved. Although they will mix with most other species OK male Bettas will not tolerate another Betta in their tank.
well I got two male bettas and a female in a tank together and they did not hurt one anouther. so try it but when you put them together then watch them so they do not harm or kill each other. lol!
no they are too territorial
No. Most male animals don't live well together.
Hypothetically yes, but DON"T PUT TWO MALE BETTAS TOGETHER. if they don't fight, most likely, they will still be stressed... to death. there is a lot more to this question than was asked, are they in the wild etc.
yes but there has to be two females and one male. two males can not live together and one female and a male cant live together because all the male want is to get with them.also if u have a filter the eggs if they mate will not survive. hope this helped.
well, it depends what type of snakes they are...
no they should not live together as often this results in fighting and sometimes death, please do not do this.
