Just mix sugar and water. That'll do the trick.
The hot water really does not do anything. You just heat the water to make it easier to make the sugar to be super- saturated. (so the water can hold no more sugar. It will fall our.) In a few days, the water will dry up and you are left with a crystal.
all you have to do is add sugar into boiling water. the sugar will dissolve and make saturated sugar!!
Yes. Water is the solvent, sugar is the solute. Together, they make a solution.Add lemons, and it makes lemonade!
Heat the water.
i don't think so. just use regular sugar.
Really, it's just sugar and butter. You could dip it in chocolate too.
Ummm I am pretty sure that it is white sugar but that's what I think soo yeh
The recipe for toffee apples requires apples, sugar, butter, water, red food coloring, and white wine vinegar. You boil the water and mix it with the sugar, butter, and vinegar. Then add the food coloring to the mixture and mix well. Cook it on low until sugar dissolves. Boil the mixture for about 10 minutes. Let it cool and dip your apples in it.
Sugar crystals are formed when you heat sugar. Also, if you do not burn it you can make caramel and toffee when you heat sugar, but you might need to follow a recipe!
Personally, the best apples I have ever had for toffee apples were Red Delicious or Honey Crisp apples, but, just recently I have found a new apple called a Pink Pearl apple. On the inside they are pink. I tried to make a toffee apple out of it and it was wonderful! So ask your stores if they have any!
It almost always is...Toffee is basically just sugar, butter, and chocolate. If it is store-bought, it couldn't hurt to check the ingredients to make sure nothing was processed on equipment that also processes wheat. However, if it is home-made, it is very unlikely to have gluten.
just a couple of ideas: did you allow the sugar to melt by heating gradually did you boil the mixture for about ten minutes and then check that it sets by dropping a small dollop into a glass if cold water Stir the mix until it boils to help the sugar melt then DO NOT STIR while it is boiling Did you follow the recipe there a heaps of good recipes and you can find them by Googling "Treacle Toffee" and simply make a choice.
No you cannot make toffee without vinegar. I have a dessert and candy restaurant and it is impossible to make toffee without vinegar, unless you want hard dull toffee, trust me on this one.
you don't make any new substances, the sugar is just mixed very well into the water
i just use icing sugar, about a tablespoon of cocoa depending on how much icing sugar you use, a small amount of butter about a teaspoon and boiling water. just add more water or sugar to make it the thickness you want.
If you mean solution, then you can make a solution with water by just combining water and sugar. It's the same with sugar and other liquids, although sugar won't create a solution with all liquids.
