Yes. To do so, you will need your transmission gear ratios, your differential gear ratio and your tire circumference. You can derive the tire circumference by mutliplying its diameter by 3.1416 (pi).
Example: At highway speed your RPM is 2000. Say your overdrive (5th gear) is 0.84:1, your differential gear ratio is 3.73:1 and your tire circumference for a P215/75R15 is 87". First divide the RPM by the first ratio (.84) which gives you 2380 RPMS. Then divide by the differential ratio of 3.73 gives you 638.3 RPM (Wheel speed). You speed is 87"x 638.3 = 55,532 inches per minute or 52.6 MPH.
Hope that helps!
An anemometer is used to measure wind speed. A Pitot Tube is used to infer speed in an aeroplane,. A speedometer in an ordinary car, and a microwave or laser radar in a Police car.
Efficiency= Mechanical Advantage Speed ratio X100 Mechanical advantage divided by speed radio X (times) 100
the speed is a unit of measure used to describe the rate of movement. As in the car went 35 mph while it drove down the street.
ratio
The speed ratio of a bicycle is the (gear ratio* radius of the wheel)/ Length of the pedal arm.
speed = distance divided by time
Horse power and gear ratio.
no ... not SPEED OF A MOVING CAR ......IT is to measure the average speed of a carThis can help :DRoy , Brunei
You can measure speed with items such as a Speed gun, Anemometer (wind), and a Speedometer (used in a car)
It measures the rate of travel.IE. the speed the car is traveling at.The speedometer of a car measures speed. It is measured in miles per hour or kilometres per hour (mph or kph). The speedometer of a car measure the instantaneous speed.
do you measure how far it will go and then time it
I want to know how a manual transmission gear ratio worked. What ratio give the car mor power and what give the car mor speed.
How fast it is going. MPH.

The speedometer in a car does not measure the car's velocity because velocity is an (A) vector quantity and has a direction associated with it (B) vector quantity and does not have a direction associated with it.
Aerodynamics, horse power, gear ratio,
Odos measure distance travelled, speedos measure speed at that moment.
