If you throw a frozen chicken into boiling water it'll be a mess...overcooked on the outside, probably starting to fall apart, and undercooked inside. Start out with just warm or barely hot water; after about a half hour, once the chicken has thawed, crank up the heat. This still isn't idea -- letting it thaw overnight in the fridge or for an hour on the counter is much better for consistency and flavor.
--I've heard you're not supposed to thaw poultry on the counter; in the fridge would be safer.
yes you can because the heat can take cold things away by sanchai 10 yrs old
Yes but the cooking time increases because the meat is frozen.
No. Whole chickens have their giblets inside of them and these need to be removed because usually they are in paper packages.

You thaw it first. Either that, or find a huge pot and boil it.
A frozen chicken is called exactly that; a frozen chicken. Freezing a fresh chicken preserves it for several months so that it can be eaten at a later date.

Chicken is sold in a number of forms. Hens and roosters are sold live. They are also sold dead, with feathers on and guts still inside, in many parts of the world. Reheating frozen roasted chickens by cutting them up first is easier than reheating a whole chicken. If you reheat a whole chicken, it may dry out from being in the oven for so long. You can reheat cut up pieces at a high temperature for a short period of time which prevents them from drying out.
