yes you can its the same tranny
Yes but the transmission will blow you need a racing 350 transmission
both good engines but i have 65 elcamio with a 454 and it is just the best engine i have ever put into a chev. i would go with a 454
Yes. You'll need to change the exhaust and cooling systems.
it should, i just put a 350 in a truck that had a 454 in it previously. mated 2 a 400 turbo tran
Yes.
Yes, the engine compartment is big enough for it, and depending on which transmission you have you should have no problem with it.
A 350 Oldsmobile engine has a different bolt pattern than the Chevrolet engine. The 350 Olds and 350 Pontiac engines have the same bolt pattern. The 350 Chevrolet and the 350 Buick engines have the same bolt pattern. Unless you have a dual bolt pattern transmission (there are some out there) in that Chevy, the Olds engine won't bolt into the Chevy transmission.
Well, you'd have to change your engine mounts. You'd also have to change your transmission, since the 97 with the small block will either have the 4L60E automatic or NV3500 manual transmission, and neither is rated for the torque output of a big block engine. Also, you'll probably have to find a mechanical transmission, as the ECM for the 1989 engine was not designed or programmed to interact with the electronic controls of a transmission such as the 4L60E or 4L80E.
Yes I have a 1990 with a 454 from the factory...
No you can not. The engine you are wanting to use is not computer controlled, therefore the transmission will not shift up are down like it is made to do.
i would put a 700r4 that's a good one for the gas per mile and towing or 350 turbo for the other
NO it will not work.
