No you cannot. Big block parts are all different then small block parts. The distributor cap WILL WORK. That answer is incorrect. Big Block and small block Chevrolet distributors physically interchange with no problem (unless it's a tall deck block like a 502)
Not unless someone put a breaker point's distributor in it. It had an HEI / HIGH ENERGY IGNITION distributor in it from the factory.
it should, i just put a 350 in a truck that had a 454 in it previously. mated 2 a 400 turbo tran
yes you can its the same tranny
Yes but the transmission will blow you need a racing 350 transmission
Stick with the coil recommended by Mallory.
NO it will not work.
While anything is possible with enough money and determination, the practical answer in this case is NO.
I'm not sure how much bigger than a 454 you can put in it, but a 350 will definitely fit in it, as I'm sure you already know, along with the 454.
both good engines but i have 65 elcamio with a 454 and it is just the best engine i have ever put into a chev. i would go with a 454
Yes. You'll need to change the exhaust and cooling systems.
Yes, there are a few different companies that make a drop in HEI distributor for ford engines. Procomp Electronics, crt performance, and ignition plus all make them. These are on the lower end, there are also some higher end companies.
Check your compression, crankshaft timing and ignition timing (crankshaft timing first THEN ignition timing)
