Yes, but it does require quite a bit of fabrication.
Yes
It should, but may be a tad wider
no way.
yes it will, you may have to modify a little, im not sure, but people have put 4th gen rears in 3rd gens
Theres a fill plug on the top of the rear end beside the axle tube. insert a 3/8 rathet end and loosin. Fill to where the oil just barely trickles out and replace plug tighten and your done!
Um........no, no you can.
The 87 comaro if stock takes GL90 gear oil , if its a posi you will need a special additive Good luck
if you have the know how you can put a part from any car into any other car. but for the average person and for the sake of dumbing this down a bit (no offence intended) no it will not, these to camaros are of different generations. if you are looking for parts for an 89 camaro your best bet is to look for parts from one between the years of 82-92
More than likely it does, to check, jack the back of the car up and put the car in neutral and spin a rear tire by hand and if both wheels spin in the same direction you have a posi.
You put the end of a 3/8 socket wrench on it (with no socket).
Yes... all third generation F body cars had the same crappy 7 - 5/8" rear end. I guess they were like 7.5" and updated to 7.625" later but it was the same housing so it all works anyway. I have an 83 camaro and blasted my rear and replaced it with an 87 that had 4.11's in it... now its a horribly fast accelerating one wheel wonder. I don't know who put those gears in it before junking it, but man is it a strange combination.
yes, its a bolt on swap. my car is a 80 with a 70 front end it looks good
