Well, first you turn on the Xbox. Once you are on the dashboard go to the sign in slide and on the last slide all the way to the right it should say recover gamertag. You will need to know your gamertag, email, and password to recover it and depending on whether or not it is your first time recovering it to that specific Xbox and how high your gamerscore is will decide how long it will take to download.
