Any Pentel R3 pen. I have an aluminum Pentel pen which came with a matching mechanical pencil. I received the pen set in 1978 and I still use the pen.
Yes, remove the top half of the pen above the clear portion of the barrel by pulling gently. Insert the leads into the lower half of the pencil, then replace the top half.
10/18/2011 - In talking with Pentel Corp QA dept, I have been informed that this refill is no longer in production, the machinery for producing them has been dismantled, etc. So unless somebody just happens to have some laying around, you might as well just throw your Pentel "clicroller" pen away, unless you want it as a memento. Contact EC Office Products. They have some.
This actually got me for a while too. Take the eraser out of the top of the pencil and drop refill pencil graphite down the tube.

1. Unscrew the gray pointed bottom end of the pencil. 2. Inside you will see a silver lead holder. Grab this and gently pull it out. You will see that there is a white piece of plastic attached at the other end of the lead holder. 3. Once this silver and white piece is removed, press the eraser end down on a table to keep it depressed while you refill the pencil. 4. it is easy to drop the lead, one piece at a time, though the white center hole that is exposed, filling the barrel of the main part of the pencil. 5. Then replace the lead holder and screw on the gray pointed bottom tip.
Just google it..the answer is funny but its right answer...
The shell or carapce made of wood in pencil having a graphite refill in it is an insulator but as graphite is good conductor of electricity so overall a pencil can cunduct current in it.
