I wanted to do the same thing. You need an adapter for the oil filter. The remote line attaches to the engine in the same spot the filter goes but it has to have an adapter before you can put the filter on the engine. I was advised against it because of the severe crowding in that particular area.
It could also be in the engine compartment behind the power steering pump.
On the R/R of the engine. Answer: The oil filter on the 98 Blazer is in a remote location. On the lower splash cover there is a small door located on the driver side, behind the between the radiator and the engine. It is accessed from underneath the vehicle.
There should be a door under the front bumper. Open that door and the oil filter's right there. Easy.

The 2006 Chevrolet Blazer air filter can be found on top of the engine in the air filter housing. You will need to remove the air filter housing cover in order to access the air filter.
Under the vehicle, bolted to the frame on the driver's side
You will need to drain the fuel from your 2000 Chevrolet Blazer fuel tank. Remove the fuel line from the fuel tank. Remove the fuel filter retaining plate. Remove the fuel filter. Reverse the process to install the new fuel filter.
It is located in the air filter box.
