Can you remove the remote oil filter on 1992 s10 blazer and install oil filter in normal location on engine?

I wanted to do the same thing. You need an adapter for the oil filter. The remote line attaches to the engine in the same spot the filter goes but it has to have an adapter before you can put the filter on the engine. I was advised against it because of the severe crowding in that particular area.
