No compression could mean a blown head gasket, cracked head or cylinder.
I hate to break the bad news, but if a cylinder is cracked you have two choices: junk the engine or junk the car. Once the block is cracked there is no way to repair it since it is cast in one piece. I've heard of pressing an iron sleeve into the damaged cylinder, but I don't hear of shops doing that any more.
Unfortunately, if the head is cracked, not only can't you repair it in place, you'll probably need to replace the head. Typically, you can't determine if the head is cracked or if the head gasket is damaged until the head is removed. Anyone who is telling you otherwise is probably just trying to sell you the latest in a long line of "wonder products" that claim to do the impossible.

A blown gasket can be repaired by replacing the gasket...if you are talking about the head gasket, then you have to remove the cylinder head from the engine block and replace the gasket that is inbetween them. Cracked heads generally have to be replaced because they are made of aluminum which cannot be repaired permanently once it is cracked.
