No. As of the time of this writing (02/02/2009), the iPhone cannot send any attachments though email other than pictures. Furthermore, there is no official MMS, so you can't send them though text to another phone either.
i personally agree with that.... but my friends had their iPhones.... and im not sure how it worked... but one of the girls phones was on searching for bluetooth, and the other girl had a song up on her phone, then they literally bumped their iPhones together and it transferred the song to the other girls phone, ( they had the same version of the iPHone tho). but i have no idea how that's possible....... but i watched it. so ya. :P
It will depend on the make of phone. Some phones provide software that will sync your phone with your iTunes library.

Not directly, but you can put the songs onto a computer and then transfer the songs from the computer to the phone.

In most cases you can use a USB cord to download songs from your laptop to your phone. You would need to check with the user manual for your specific phone for instructions.

There is probably an app, but I send a text message of the photos to my email & open it up on my laptop and then save it from there.
No, you don't have to keep the songs on your laptop. Once the songs are on your ipod you don't need the ones on your laptop.
